Why convert PDF to JPG?
PDFs can't always be opened, previewed, or shared easily, especially on social media, chat apps, and websites that only accept images. Converting PDF to JPG gives you lightweight image files that open on any device and are simple to upload, edit, or insert into other documents.

Turn each PDF page into a high-quality JPG image you can share in chats, add to slides, or upload to sites that do not accept PDFs.
Download the images, one per page, and use them anywhere you need a picture of a document.
Quick tips
- Split the PDF first if you only need a few pages.
- Use PNG instead when you need sharp text and transparency.
- Keep the original PDF for printing.
Saving PDF pages as JPG images
How do I convert a PDF to JPG?
Upload your PDF and convert it. Every page is rendered as a JPG image, and the images are delivered together in a ZIP file. Extract the archive to find one picture per page, named in page order.
Pages are rendered at about twice their original size, which gives sharper results than a quick screenshot and is a good balance for sharing and uploading.
How do I get the highest quality JPG from a PDF?
Start from the best PDF you have. A vector PDF, such as one exported from a document, renders crisply, while a low-resolution scan can only be as sharp as its source. Avoid re-saving the JPG repeatedly in other apps, because each save applies lossy compression again.
If text must stay perfectly sharp, for example for a screenshot of a form or a diagram, PNG is the better format because it is lossless.
JPG or PNG: which should I choose?
JPG makes smaller files and suits photographs, scanned pages and anything you want to send quickly. PNG keeps edges and small text sharper and is better for screenshots, logos and diagrams, but files are larger.
If you are unsure, convert to JPG first and check the result. Switch to PDF to PNG when fine text looks soft.
What if the images are too large to upload somewhere?
Upload portals often limit file size. If your images are too large, convert only the pages you need by splitting the PDF first, or compress the original PDF before converting. You can also resize the JPGs on your device afterwards.

Troubleshooting and common problems
My JPG looks blurry.
Check the source PDF. If it is a low-resolution scan, the image cannot get sharper. For text-heavy pages try PDF to PNG, which keeps edges crisp.
The ZIP file will not open on my phone.
Use your phone's Files app or a free unzip app, then save the images to your gallery.
The files are too big to email.
Convert fewer pages, compress the PDF first, or send the images in several messages.
The converter does not accept my PDF.
If the PDF is password protected, remove the password with Unlock PDF first. Make sure the file is a valid PDF under the size limit.
Good to know
- One image per page
- A 10-page PDF produces 10 JPG files inside the ZIP archive.
- White background
- JPG has no transparency, so pages are placed on a white background.
- JPG vs JPEG
- They are the same format. Different systems simply use different file extensions.
- Your original PDF is unchanged
- Converting creates new images and leaves the PDF as it was.

How do I convert a PDF to JPG on iPhone or Android?

Can I convert just one page of a PDF to JPG?
Yes. Split the PDF to extract that page first, then convert the single-page file.
Why is the JPG file larger than my PDF?
A PDF can store text and vector shapes compactly, while an image stores every pixel. Long, detailed pages can therefore produce larger images.
Can I convert a PDF to JPG without losing quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so a little detail is always traded for a smaller file. For the best fidelity, choose PDF to PNG instead.
