Why organize PDF pages?
Scans arrive in the wrong order, reports need a new page added at the front, and one sideways page can ruin a document. Organizing the pages yourself takes seconds and avoids rebuilding the file from scratch.
Rearrange, rotate and delete PDF pages online
The Organize PDF tool shows every page as a thumbnail so you can reorder a document visually. Drag pages into place, rotate the ones that are sideways, duplicate a page you need twice, or delete pages you do not want.
Everything happens in your browser, so private documents are never uploaded. When the layout looks right, save a new PDF and keep the original untouched.
Quick tips
- Use Reset order if you want to start again.
- Rotate pages before adding page numbers so they land in the right corner.
- Merge several files first, then organize the combined document.
Reorder and organize PDF pages
How do I rearrange pages in a PDF?
Upload the PDF and you will see every page as a thumbnail. Drag a page to its new position, or use the arrow buttons on the page toolbar, then save. The result is a new PDF with the pages in the order you chose.
Because you can see the pages, there is no need to remember page numbers. Move the page that is in the wrong place and check the thumbnails before saving.
Can I reorder, rotate and delete pages in one go?
Yes. Each page has a small toolbar to move it, rotate it, duplicate it or remove it. That means you can tidy up a scan in a single pass: fix the sideways pages, drop the blank one and put the appendix at the end.
If you only need to remove pages, the Delete PDF Pages tool is a shorter route. For a full tidy-up, use the grid here.
Is it private to organize a PDF in the browser?
The page grid, reordering and saving all happen in your browser. The document is not uploaded to a server to be organized, which is helpful for contracts, medical papers and anything else you would rather keep on your device.
Tips for a clean result
Keep a copy of your original file, since reordering creates a new one and cannot be undone after saving. For long documents, work through the grid in sections. Once finished, add page numbers so the new order is clear to readers.
Popular ways to use it
Fix the order of a scan
Put pages in the right sequence when they were scanned out of order.
Move the cover or summary
Bring the most important page to the front of a long report.
Duplicate a page
Repeat a form or template page without recreating it.
Clean up a merged file
Rotate, remove and reorder pages after combining several documents.
Prepare a presentation handout
Arrange pages exactly as you want them to be printed or shared.
Troubleshooting and common problems
Thumbnails are slow to appear
Large documents load in batches. Use the Show more pages button to bring in the rest.
I moved the wrong page
Use Reset order to go back to the original, then try again.
The file will not open
It may be password protected. Unlock it first, then reorganize it.
I need to remove many pages
The Delete PDF Pages tool lets you type ranges such as 2, 4-6, which is faster than clicking each page.
Good to know
- New file, same content
- Pages are copied as they are. Text and images are not recompressed.
- Original unchanged
- Your uploaded file is never modified. You download a new copy.
- Always keep one page
- A PDF needs at least one page, so the last remaining page cannot be deleted.
- Organize vs merge
- Organize works inside one document. Merge combines several documents.
